Report of the National Workshop on Human Resource Development in Fishery Management in Cambodia

Abstract

The National Workshop on Human Resource Development in Fishery was co-organized by the SEAFDEC-Sida and the Department of Fisheries held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 6 to 8 July 2005. The Workshop was organized as part of the SEAFDEC activities of Sida support project on “Capacity Building for Human Resource Development on the support to the Implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries in the ASEAN Region”. The Workshop was primarily aimed at addressing the needs and directions for improving human resource development in fishery management at both national and local levels in Cambodia with particular emphasis on the aspects of personnel capacity building.
