dc.description.abstractThe Bilateral Technical Meeting on Effective Fisheries Management between Thailand and Viet Nam was successfully held in Da Nang, Viet Nam from 12 to 13 June 2018. The Meeting was organized by SEAFDEC with support from SEAFDEC-Sweden Project. Objective of the Meeting, 1. To update and share information of fisheries and other relevant to marine/coastal resources and environment conventions, agreement and cooperation, in particular on the transboundary species. 2. To update and share information on the issues/areas and efforts on combat IUU fishing (such as licensing system, landing catch by foreign fishing vessels, legal framework and management actions for fisheries). 3. To identify and agree the issues/areas of common concerns and opportunities upon in which joint approaches would benefit social well-being and improve the efficiency of fisheries management between Thailand and Viet Nam.en
