This issue considers the feasibility of culturing mudcrabs, taken largely from research studies of SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department. Considering the large economic returns, methods of culture are then discussed including fattening. Cultures of Thai and Malay crabs are also noted, these minus the cultural connotations. For those interested in crab capture, traditional devices in catching crabs are presented; and for those whose palates are into gourmet, crab preparation and cooking are discussed.en
