The regional framework was developed through consultation process between SEAFDEC and the&#13;
Southeast Asian countries as harmonized framework for compilation of regional fishery statistics from 2008 onwards. The framework also serves as a minimum requirement for countries in collection of fishery statistics to support policy, planning and management of fisheries.
