During the last quarter of 2024, SEAFDEC organized significant events including the Forty-seventh Program Committee Meeting and the Twenty-seventh Fisheries Consultative Group Meeting. Moreover, regional events were organized, including the “Regional Workshop on Gender Mainstreaming in Fisheries in Southeast Asia” which highlighted the efforts of SEAFDEC in promoting gender mainstreaming through organizational initiatives and project integration. The “Regional Seminar on the Progress of Fish Stock Assessment” provided updates on stock assessments and related activities in the region. The “Core Expert Meeting on Research for the Enhancement of Sustainable Utilization and Management of Sharks and Rays” was also conducted. Furthermore, webinars such as “ALDFG and Marine Debris in Southeast Asia” and “GIS and RS in Fisheries and Environment” were organized, serving as platforms for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and discussion.
