dc.description.abstract | Thailand has been particularly active in developing its decentralization policy, promoting governance at both provincial and local levels. Different processes and tools are being tried out through a number of national projects, such as the CHARM Project under the coordination of the Department of Fisheries. This article describes the structure of this project, and discusses its achievements to date. The article contributes to the debate on decentralization in the Southeast Asian region, and on the innovative management of coastal habitats and resources. | en |
