dc.description.abstractDuring the second quarter of 2022, one of the highlighted events of SEAFDEC was the Fifty-fourth Meeting of SEAFDEC Council (54CM), where the progress and achievement of SEAFDEC activities in 2021 as well as the proposed program of activities to be undertaken in 2022 were reported. The international/regional fisheries-related issues that were discussed include regional initiatives for combating IUU fishing, plan for development of the positions of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Member Countries on the proposed listing of commercially exploited aquatic species into the CITES Appendices, fishery subsidies, U.S. MMPA, and roadmap and key indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the RES&POA-2030.en
