Presented in this paper is the result of the survey that was conducted to determine the histamine levels of fish and fish products in Malaysia. The fish species that were analyzed in this study include hardtail scad (Megalaspis cordyla), rainbow sardine or round herring (Sardinella fimbriata), big eye scad (Selar crumenophthalmus), Dorab wolf herring (Chirocentrus dorab), swordfish (Platybelone argalus platyura), mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.), Japanese threadfin bream (Nemipterus spp.), and Indian anchovy (Stolephorus indicus).
