dc.description.abstractThe National Workshop on Human Resource Development for coastal fisheries management “Issues, Strategies and Future Direction” was co-organized by the SEAFDEC-Sida, Department of Fisheries and UNEP/GEF South China Sea Project at Koh Chang, Trat Province, Thailand, from 2 to 4 August 2005. The Workshop was organized as part of the SEAFDEC activities of Sida support project on “Capacity Building for Human Resource Development on the support to the Implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries in the ASEAN Region”. The Workshop was held with the objective to identify issues, strategies and future direction for HRD to support coastal fisheries management, which can be used as a basis for participating agencies for their future planning/adjustment of HRD activities including SEAFDEC-Sida Project.en
