Numerous diagrams are provided with the text.

The booklet was originally published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in English under the title: Freshwater Fish Farming: How to Begin (FAO Economic and Social Development Series, No.3/27, 1979). This translation into Bahasa Malaysia has been done by Mr. Hafiz bin Ahmad for the Secretariat, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, and published by arrangement with FAO by SEAFDEC. FAO declines all responsibility therefore.
