Sea turtle population statistics are provided for the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia for the years 1998-2000. Two species are recognized to land and nest: Chelonia mydas and Eretmochelys imbricata. Data regarding major nesting locations, hatchery, annual landing, annual nesting, peak season, total eggs incubated, total hatchlings and mortality are included. Eretmochelys imbricata was found to be the major species nesting on the east coast during the first 2 of this 3 year period, and Chelonia mydas was the major species during the year 2000.
