SEAFDEC has been supporting countries in the Southeast Asian region in the implementation of several initiatives to promote sustainable small-scale fisheries. Regionalization and implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) with emphasis given to tropical, small-scale fisheries Development and promotion of Responsible fishing gears and practices (e.g. selective fishing gears and practices, use of wind energy for small-scale fishing operations, etc.)
