The Fifty-first Meeting of the Council (51CM) of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) was convened in Surabaya City, East Java, Indonesia from 18 to 22 March 2019 at the kind invitation of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. The Meeting was attended by the Council Directors for Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam together with their respective delegations, as well as the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General and the senior officials of SEAFDEC. The Meeting was also attended by representatives from the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF), the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO/RAP), and the United States Agency for International Development/Regional Development Mission for Asia (USAID/RDMA).
