This manual was originally published as Australian Fisheries Paper, No. 11, 1970. Permission to reprint this text was granted by the Department of Primary Industry, Canberra. A Cebuano-Bisaya translation was prepared for the Philippines in 1984 and printed as SEC/SM/4, "Ang Pagpuna Ug Pagtapak Sa Pukot". Renewed interest in the text has prompted this reprinting.
