Report of the Experts Group Meeting on Fishing License and Boats Registration in Southeast Asia

Abstract

The Experts Group Meeting on Fishing Licensing and Boats Registration in Southeast Asia was organized by the SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) in Bangkok, Thailand from 25 to 28 June 2012. The Meeting was attended by representatives from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam as well as from the SEAFDEC Secretariat and SEAFDEC Training Department. Representatives from relevant institutions in Thailand such as the Marine Department, Merchant Marine Training Center (MMTC), National Fisheries Association of Thailand (NFAT), and Thailand Overseas Fishery Association (TOFA), also attended the Meeting.
