Report of the Regional Technical Consultation and Workshop on the Concept of an ASEAN Fisheries Development and Management Mechanism

Abstract

The Regional Consultation and Workshop on the Concept of the Establishment of and ASEAN Fisheries Development and Management Mechanism, was held in Bangkok 6 – 8 November 2007. This document aims to summarise presentations, discussions and recommendations as an input to ASEAN and the ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Fisheries (ASWGFi). It will also provide a basis for a proposal by the Department of Fisheries (DOF) of Thailand, with support from SEAFDEC, to ASEAN.
