The fish processing industry in the Philippines: Status, problems and prospects

Abstract
An account is given of the fish processing industry of the Philippines. The various existing post-harvest technologies are described, considering fresh fish handling practices, fish processing technologies, new fish processing methods, and other fishery products and by-products. Problems facing the industry and government programmes and projects to help development in the sector are discussed briefly.
