The Resolution and Plan of Action on Sustainable Fisheries for Food Security for the

ASEAN Region Towards 2020 were prepared by the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Member Countries in collaboration with ASEAN and SEAFDEC, and were adopted by the Ministers and Senior Officials responsible for fisheries of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Member Countries during the Ministerial and Senior Officials Meetings of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Conference on Sustainable Fisheries for Food Security Towards 2020 “Fish for the People 2020: Adaptation to a Changing Environment” held during 13-17 June 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Resolution and Plan of Action are envisaged to serve as policy framework and priority actions to support sustainable development of fisheries and enhancing the contribution from fisheries to food security and better livelihood of people in the region towards the coming decade.
