Sea turtle population statistics are provided for the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia for the years 1998-2000. Four species are recognized to land and nest: Dermochelys coriacea, Chelonia mydas, Eretmochelys imbricata and Lepidochelys olivacea. Data regarding major nesting locations, hatchery, annual landing, annual nesting, peak season, total eggs incubated, total hatchlings and mortality are included. Chelonia mydas was found to be the major species nesting on the east coast during this 3 year period.
