Regional survey of histamine in fish and fish products: Philippines

The survey was conducted to determine the level of histamine in fish and fish products in the Philippines. The fish species that were examined include the following, yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), sardines (Sardinella longiceps), mackerel (Scomberomorus spp.), and anchovies (Stolephorus commersonii). The samples were taken from General Santos City, Zamboanga and from several markets in Metro Manila.
